A new visitor in the garden

We spotted this little fella / girl at 7.00am this morning.

I took 4 pictures in total all with the flash and he / she never flinched.
I've obviously got awesome nuts !! smutty comments please.
I was standing around 5 feet away to take the pictures, I was telling my good lady it was for artistic purposes, but actually I didn't want to be savaged by the wild creature.
It's a good job Rocky the one eye Robin wasn't on patrol or there would have been hell on
I love this shot and the apparent pose.

I've just completed this root stand, and I'm very chuffed with it.
It's been made from mahogany from an old door frame, a piece of the wood is shown below.

Please e mail me at if you are interested in buying this stand, or any of the other stands shown on the site.

Mahogany timber starter
Width 150mm

Depth 150mm
Height  42mm

REF: BBS 31/03/12

This stand would be ideal for a semi cascade shohin tree out side of a rack, or to use within a formal display rack to adjust the height of a tree and improve the flow of the display

Please e mail me at if you are interested in buying this stand, or any of the other stands shown on the site.

I have also shown some of the pictures below:

This doesn't happen by accident, it's down to the hard work of Peter and Jean Snart and the members of the BSA committee and lots of helpers & people taking the time and making the effort to put on a ball bustingly excellent show.
